State & Centre jointly dedicates foundation of 11 developmental projects worth 2500 crore rupees for Mizoram


Union Home Minister Amit Shah has said that Mizoram, during the last 36 years of its statehood, has currently achieved a huge success in all sectors among the small states of the North East. Mr. Shah appealed to all misguided youths of the North East region to join the mainstream of life.

Home Minister Shri Shah was addressing a public meeting at Lamual in Aizawl this afternoon after inauguration of the construction of new battalion headquarters of Assam Rifles at Zokhawsang near Aizawl city. With the inauguration of Assam Rifle battalion’s new headquarters at Zokhawsang, the long-standing demand of the people of the state for shifting the Assam rifles battalion headquarters to Zodin in Aizawl is going to be fulfilled. Mr. Shah has also laid the foundation stone of Laldenga Cultural Centre, at Zodin today.

On the occasion, While addressing the people, he said today the state and Centre have jointly dedicated the foundation of 11 projects worth  2500 crore rupees for the state, which testifies that both centre and state government are committed to ensure development and service to people.

Shri Shah said that under the leadership of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi the entire North East region is moving forward to a new road of Peace, stability, and development, and he is only the first Prime Minister of the country who has visited this region 53 times. He further said that Prime Minister Modi is fully committed to the development of the North East region.
