CM Dr Manik Saha inaugurates 28 projects, lays foundation stones for 5 more worth Rs 42.66 Crore

Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Sunday inaugurated 28 projects and laid the foundation stones for 5 new ones at Ganganagar under the Raimavalley Assembly Constituency — a region designated as an Aspirational District. The combined cost of the projects amounts to Rs 42.66 crore.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Saha emphasized the state government's commitment to inclusive growth, particularly in Janajati-dominated and remote regions of Tripura. "Over the past seven years, we have made tremendous strides in bringing modern infrastructure to even the most remote corners of the state. These efforts are helping bridge the gap between urban and rural development," the Chief Minister said.

The newly inaugurated and proposed projects are aimed at enhancing access to essential services such as healthcare, education, roads, and water supply. Officials stated that the initiatives are part of a broader strategy to uplift Aspirational Districts by improving socio-economic indicators and delivering development at the grassroots level.

Dr. Saha reiterated the government’s dedication to ensuring that all citizens, regardless of location, benefit from the state’s development agenda. "These projects will greatly benefit the local population by providing critical facilities at their doorstep and accelerating the region's overall progress," he added.

The event was attended by Minister of sports and youth affairs Tinku Roy, local leaders, government officials, and residents, who expressed optimism about the positive impact the projects would bring to the region.
