75th State Level Vanamahotsava observed at Ambassa

The state forest minister Animesh Debbarma on Wednesday inaugurated the 75th State Level Vanamahotsava at Ambassa and laid stress on protecting the forest land and forest resources in the state.
Addressing the programme in Kulai Higher Secondary School ground at Ambassa on Wednesday the minister said that it is the responsibility of every citizen to protect forest land and forest resources to ensure environmental balance.
The Forest Minister said that strict measures have been taken against the destruction of forest land and smuggling of forest resources. He urged for cooperation from the public in protecting the forest land and resources.
MLA Chittaranjan Debbarma, MLA Manoj Kanti Deb, MLA Paul Danshu, MLA Swapna Das Pal, MLA Nandita Debbarma Reang and senior officials of the Forest Department were present on the occasion.
