Former minister of Left front joins TIPRA Motha ahead of 2023 poll


Shantirbazar, Feb 19: At a time when the crucial 2023 assembly elections are drawing near, the indigenous based TIPRA Motha regional political party headed by the royal scion Pradyot Kishore Debburman is gaining ground especially in the ADC areas of the state. The former minister of the then Left front government Manindra Reang on Saturday joined the TIPRA Motha party in a party gathering at Jolaibari Monpathor bazar under Shantirbazar sub-division.

Welcoming the former jail minister, Pradyot on Saturday addressed the party gathering and appealed people to join TIPRA Motha and form 'Greater Twipra Land'. The TIPRA Motha is currently running administration at TTAADC. He said that people who are intended to sit idle as a candidate are not welcome to TIPRA Motha, because the party intends to work for the welfare of the indigenous tribe of the state.

Pradyot on Saturday declared holiday in ADC on the day of 'Kul Devi' Puja of the Reang tribes. On the other hand the former minister after joining the TIPRA Motha party on Saturday said that he was frustrated with the CPI-M party. He said that the work of TIPRA Motha party for the indigenous tribes in the state has inspired him to join the party and work together with Pradyot.
