Tripura Film and Television Institute is a pillar of Tripura's development: CM Dr. Manik Saha

Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Wednesday said that the newly opened Tripura Film and Television Institute is gaining the ground in hunting the youth’s talent of the state.

Dr. Saha was addressing a function of certificate distribution programme here at Agartala Nazrul Kalakshetra on Wednesday. The Chief Minister handed over the certificates of the first batch of the students of the institute, who passed the short-term course.

Addressing the gathering the Chief Minister Dr. Saha said that it is the responsibility of the state government to provide opportunities to youths in attaining talent and contribute in developing the state further. He said that the Tripura government in collaboration with the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and Kolkata’s Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute had established the TFTI to hunt talents of the youths of the state.

“There is no dearth of talents in our state, but due to lack of interest of the previous government there was less opportunity for the youths of our state who would play key role in developing the state further,” Dr. Saha said.
