Prez Draupadi Murmu to visit Tripura on two-days visit to launch slew of projects


Tripura geared up to welcome President Draupadi Murmu on her maiden visit to the state for two days from Wednesday. While the Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha chaired several rounds of meeting with the officials of the state administration, a team of officials from the Rashtrapati Bhawan arrived here in the state to review the preparedness for the visit of the President.

During her two-days long visit, the President is expected to flag off Agartala-Kolkata passenger train from the Agartala rail station besides, inaugurating and laying the foundation stone of host of projects and institutions. The President during her stay in Tripura would inaugurate the Judicial Academy and lay the foundation of the National Law University at Narsinghgarh, on the outskirts of Agartala. The Tripura government would also accord a civic reception to Murmu, who would also virtually inaugurate and lay the foundation of many other projects in Tripura.
