All arrangements in place to ensure free and fair polling for Karnataka Assembly Elections tomorrow
May 09, 2023In Karnataka, voting for assembly elections will take place tomorrow. Polling will begin at 7 AM and continue till 6 PM. A total of 2,615 candidates are in fray for the 224 assembly constituencies. BJP has fielded its candidates on all 224 seats.
Congress is fighting on 223 seats and JD(S) is contesting on 209 seats. Aam Aadmi Party has also fielded its candidates on 209 seats.
The Election Commission has made elaborate arrangements for conducting free and fair elections. Around three lakh polling personnel have been deployed to conduct the polls.
Polling officials have gathered in their respective mustering centres to collect EVMs and other election-related material. They are likely to be ferried to their respective polling booths by the evening.
