Govt working on education sector on priority basis: CM Biplab Kumar Deb


Agartala, March 03: Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb on Thursday inaugurated the 75th foundation day of Netaji Subhash Vidyaniketan School here at Agartala. Deb said that the teachers need to play an active role towards generating awareness among the children about the developmental activities of the government and especially how the government is working on education sector.  He said, “The government is working on the basis of priority in the overall development of the education sector of the state.”

 The Chief Minister accompanied by the school authority on Thursday paid homage to the bust of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose with flowers. The Chief Minister also inaugurated the school website nsvagartala.org.in. The Chief Minister later flagged off the colorful procession of the students of the school which had begun from the school premise and moved across the capital town. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that various reforms have been made in the education system in line with the need for the students of the state to be able to match themselves in the national arena as well.

Apart from this, various positive initiatives have been taken including Mission 100 Vidyajyoti project, implementation of NCERT syllabus in a short span of time. In addition, training has been arranged to enhance the skills of the students and make them suitable for the national entrance examination. As a result, the trainees are setting an example of success in UPSC examinations with the help of government, he said.
