Pradyot shows massive women-strength in Khumulwung; says ‘No compromise with Greater Tipraland’

In yet another massive show-of-strength in TTAADC headquarter of Khumulwung, the TIPRA Motha chairman and also the royal scion Pradyot Kishore Deb Burman on Monday slammed the ruling BJP government in Tripura and said, “Democracy is in stake in the state of Tripura, while the indigenous tribes are deprived at large from their rights.”

Pradyot was addressing a gathering of a large number of women in the syndicate ground of Khumulwung in a mega women gathering.

“We shall not compromise with the Greater Tipraland demand,” he said, adding that the one last fight of the TIPRA Motha seeking constitutional rights for the indigenous tribes needs to be strengthened further.

He attacked the ruling BKP party on Monday and said, “No one talks about hospitals here, they talk about temples. They talk about Pakistan-China but not about the open borders with Bangladesh.”

Meanwhile, without naming any party or individual, Pradyot on Monday said, “There is so much pressure on me. They are threatening to put me in jail, breaking our party and even breaking the autonomous council.”

"We don't trust in your words, give us in writing. If not in writing, don't try to buy me, don't give me a lollipop. It's not just my fight, it's the fight of 13 lakh indigenous Tripuris," Pradyot further said.
