Mizoram: BJP accuses Congress of playing vote bank politics


BJP in Mizoram accused the Congress of playing vote bank politics and asked the party to work for the welfare of the people. Party spokesperson Lalremsangi Fanai, in a press conference said that the party is always committed to work for the welfare of the people. The spokesperson accused the Congress of misleading the public by playing religious card during elections. Ms Fanai said that there is no threat to Mizo’s religious belief and faith in the State.

 Listing out the achievements of the NDA Government she said that India has the one of the most robust healthcare systems in the world. The spokesperson said that BJP has transformed the country taking the nation to the path of development.

 Meanwhile, interacting with media persons in Aizawl the Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said that the Congress is developing a new vision for the hill State with a focus on economic empowerment of all sections of the people.

 The Congress leader said that the party is coming up with a scheme called “Tangpuihna” - which is a financial inclusion initiative for the people.

Meanwhile, campaigning is picking up in the State. With elections just a few weeks away, all political parties are putting all efforts to reach out to voters.

 Mizoram will go to polls on the 7th of November to elect 40 members of the state Legislative Assembly.
