Tripura seen ‘bad governance’ of Communist; PM Modi, CM Saha will build prosperous Tripura: Amit Shah


The Union Home Minister on Sunday castigated the CPI(M) and its the then Left front government and also the Congress party to allege that the people of Tripura had seen ‘bad governance’ during the last 25 years before 2018.

Shah is in Tripura to campaign for the BJP party for the ensuing assembly election to 60-assembly constituencies of the state.

Addressing the party’s ‘Vijay Sankalp’ rally in the Sepahijala district of the state, Shah said, “Tripura witnessed corrupted governance during congress regime and has suffered from large scale violence.”

The Union Home Minister and also the senior party leader Amit Shah on Sunday sought more  five years from the electorates of Tripura and said, “Jodi of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Manik Saha will make Tripura a prosperous state.”

“Crime rate and violence across the state of Tripura is curbed after the formation of BJP government and overall development to the state has come with the effort of the BJP government,” he claimed.

Stating that earlier Tripura was under the heavy influence of drugs, Shah said, "The young generation was being ruined by drugs, BJP has done a lot of work against it in the five years and the remainder will be done in the next five years.”

Earlier today, while addressing the first 'Vijay Sankalp Rally' of the day at Chandipur Assembly constituency, Shah said, "By aligning with Cong, CPI(M) proved that they're going to lose polls and they couldn't face BJP alone."

Shah further stated that the BJP government has provided health insurance and drinking water to all the houses.

If the work of giving respect rights to all was done, then it was done by the Manik Saha government under the leadership of the Modi government, he further added.

He stated, "In the last five years, we have brought peace to the region. Next year, we will make Tripura prosperous by following the formula, HIRA, given by PM Modi."
