No political violence took place after formation of BJP-Govt in Tripura: J P Nadda
Jan 12, 2023Amid the allegation of deteriorating law and order situation by the opposition parties in Tripura, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president J P Nadda on Thursday claimed that no political violence occurred in the state after the BJP formed government.
Addressing the ‘Jana Biswas Yatra’ – a massive public outreach programme of the BJP party here at Agartala Umakanta ground, Nadda on Thursday attacked both the CPI(M) and the Congress party and alleged that violence and corruption were the main highlights when the two parties were in power, both at the Centre and in Tripura.
“The CPI(M) government meant rape, murder, bandh, collection of money and attacks on the Opposition workers. But the BJP government means highways, internet, railways, better hospitals, corruption free government and much more,” he said.
Nadda also attacked the Congress party and said, “The Congress party is meant for corruption and their leaders are experts in corrupt practices.”
The ‘Jana Biswas Yatra’ of the BJP party in Tripura began from January 5 last with the Union Home Amit Shah flagging off the event from Dharmanagar and Sabroom. The yatra continued for seven days touching all the 60-assembly constituencies of the state and ended here at Agartala.
