New auditorium of TIT at Narshingarh inaugurated


Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Tuesday inaugurated the newly constructed 885-seating capacity auditorium here at Agartala Narsingarh and said that the TIT, which was earlier known as Polytechnic college was developed and upgraded with the financial assistance from the Ministry of DoNER.

Addressing the gathering of students and faculties in the inauguration programme, the Chief Minister said, “The government has already signed an agreement with TATA Technologies for the purpose of modernization and upgradation of 19 ITIs in the state.”

“As a result of this agreement, apart from investing in the state, the employment of the students passing out from ITIs will also increase in the future through quality training,” Dr Saha said, adding that investors are being attracted to invest in the state as there is a peaceful atmosphere in the state at present.

He said that auditoriums in any educational institution serve as a supporting stage for various programs and student performances.

In the event, Special Secretary of Education Department Ravel Hemendra Kumar highlighted the future plans of the government about Tripura Institute of Technology (TIT) and said that the infrastructure of this educational institution is at par with the national level infrastructure. He also emphasized on further developing the drone technology center of the institute.
