Vande Bharat from Agartala to Guwahati waiting for electrification work completion clearance

The proposed Vande Bharat rail service from Agartala to Guwahati will start operation only after the completion of electrification work in all the halting stations in the route, said Central Public Relation Officer (CPRO) of North-East Frontier Railway on Thursday.

Talking to our correspondent over phone, the CPRO said that once the electrification work in every halting station in the route is completed, the NFR will receive a clearance, only after which the Vande Bharat train will roll between Agartala-Guwahati.

He also said that after receiving the clearance of completion of electrification work, other electric trains will be out on track as train runs prior to the operation of Vande Bharat train.

“As of now we don’t have any plan to roll Vande Bharat train between the Agartala-Guwahati route,” he told our correspondent on Thursday morning in a telephonic conversation.
