AR organizes awareness lecture on ‘National Flag Code’
Aug 11, 2023Assam Rifles Battalion under the aegis of HQ Inspector General Assam Rifles (East) organised an awareness lecture on "National Flag Code" under "Har Ghar Tiranga" Campaign commemorating "Azadi ka Amrit Mohatsav" for students of Bani Vidyapith Girls School, Agartala & Tipania Colony High School Udaipur in West Tripura & Gomati District respectively on 11 August, 2023.
Students & Teachers were made aware of the National Flag Code for the upcoming national event "Har Ghar Tiranga" with respect to the dimensions of the flag. Moreover focus was to inform students that it must occupy a position of honour and should be placed distinctly. A damaged or dishevelled flag should not be placed. They were also told about the legislation governing hoisting/ use/ display of National Flag like "The Flag Code of India 2002".
A total of 274 students, 23 teachers & 40 persons from Assam Rifles participated in the event at both locations. The event culminated with singing of National Anthem, distribution of National Flags & sweets to students.
