Left-Congress seat sharing pact to make no difference in Feb 16 assembly poll: Rajnath Singh

The Union Defence minister and senior BJP leader Rajnath Singh, Wednesday said that the Left-Congress seat sharing agreement would make no difference in the ensuing February 16 assembly election in Tripura. He said that the BJP will win more seats in the ensuing election than that of 2018 assembly election.

Singh was addressing a campaign rally of the BJP party at Rajnagar in South Tripura. “People of Tripura had witnessed the atmosphere of fear, poverty and corruption under the 25 years rule of the CPI(M) party. There was an insurgency and a sense of insecurity during the tenure of the Congress and the CPI(M) in Tripura,” he said.

Appealing to the voters to vote for the BJP in the ensuing assembly election, the union minister Rajnath Singh said, “The BJP government brought peace and strengthened law and order. We established good governance.”

Addressing a different rally at Barjala on Wednesday, he underlined the HIRA model of Tripura and said, “The international airport is ready, highways have been constructed, internet service improved and ended corruption.”
