Sikkim CM PS Tamang visits flood-ravaged areas of Sirwani
Oct 09, 2023Chief Minister PS Tamang visited the flood-ravaged areas of Sirwani on Monday. The Teesta flood swept away the Sirwani bridge, a vital link for the eastern, northern, and southern regions of the state.
Mr Tamang emphasized the need for swift action in rebuilding the bridge, acknowledging its pivotal role in ensuring connectivity across the state. He appealed to the concerned authorities for immediate intervention to expedite the restoration process.
The NHPC Teesta VI Dam has also suffered damages, which were highlighted by NHPC authorities.
