CM Dr Manik Saha pays tribute to Dr Shyama Prasad on his birth anniversary


Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Saturday paid tribute to Bharat Kesari Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee on his 123rd birth anniversary here in a function at Agartala Rabindra Bhavan.

Addressing the gathering in the programme, CM Dr Manik Saha said that Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee’s devotion to the motherland and sacrifice will continue to inspire the countrymen. He said that during the time of the previous government, the present generation was deprived from learning the life and philosophy of profound thinker and Bharat Kesari Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee. It was the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who encouraged the countrymen to remember Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee for the growth of the country. 

Highlighting the developmental status of Tripura, Chief Minister Dr Saha said that Tripura is the first state in India to have e-office up to the panchayat level. The government is making continuous efforts to improve the socio-economic conditions of the people of the state, he said, adding that the Chief Minister Jan Aarogya Yojana has already been launched in the state, where the beneficiaries are availing the benefits from all government hospitals.
