Centre to appoint interlocutor by March 27: Pradyot
Mar 23, 2023The TIPRA Motha supremo Pradyot Bikram Manikya Deb Barman, Thursday said that the Union Home Minister Amit Shah had assured him of the appointment of an interlocutor by March 27 next.
“Woke up to an early morning call from the hon Home Minister Amit Shah to enquire about my health. He also categorically assured me that by the 27th of this month an interlocutor will be announced for our talks regarding the constitutional solution for our indigenous people of Tripura,” Pradyot tweeted on Thursday.
He stated, “I hope the home minister will understand the sentiment of the Tiprasa and honour the commitment he has given to me.”
According to Pradyot the Union Home Minister Amit Shah had agreed on a constitutional solution for the indigenous community of Tripura and accordingly Shaha assured of appointing an interlocutor to deal with the issue.
