Tripura cabinet decides 5% DA for Tripura government employees


The BJP-led coalition government in Tripura announced 5% DA for all government employees of the state.

Addressing a press conference on Tuesday evening the ICA Minister Sushanta Chowdhury briefed the cabinet decision and said that the council of ministers under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha has decided for 5% DA for the government employees and 5% DR for the pensioners with effect from July 1 this year.

He said that the government will need to spend Rs. 523.80 crore annually with the hike of 5% DA.

Meanwhile, on a different note the minister told the reporters that the council of ministers in the cabinet meeting on Tuesday decided for filling up of 100 post of staff nurses under the state Health and Family Welfare department in fixed pay basis.

In addition to this, 22 pharmacists (Homeopathy), 25 pharmacists (Ayurvedic) and 39 posts of laboratory technician (blood) will be recruited soon under the Health and Family Welfare department, Chowdhury told reporters.

He also informed that the cabinet has decided for creation of 90 promotional posts of multi-purpose supervisor (Group-C), 12 posts of LDC under directorate of audit and creation of 16 posts under ICA department.

The cabinet has also given a nod for recruitment of 200 junior engineers under the state Public Works Department (PWD).
