Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday virtually joined the appointment letter distribution by the Tripura government here in a function at Agartala and targeted the then Left front government in Tripura to allege that the youths of the state had to join the CPI(M) cadre to get their offer letters.
Shah asserted that the BJP-led coalition government in the state has achieved more in the last seven years than what Congress and communists (Left Front) did during several decades of their rule.
Meanwhile, Shah claimed that the PM Modi led government at the Centre had made at least three pacts with different outlawed groups during the last 10 years to bring peace in the North East region of the country, which was once neglected by the previous government.
He said, “Earlier, the Northeast was synonymous with blockade, drugs, arms smuggling and clashes but now the region is known for development, connectivity, investment and agriculture. Under Modiji’s regime, Union ministers have visited the region 700 times.”
“The Bru people have been resettled permanently in Tripura, with the government providing them with education, health and livelihood,” he said.
