Congress and CPI(M) are two sides of same Coin: CM Dr Manik Saha

Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Saturday said that Congress and CPI(M) are two sides of the same coin.

Addressing an election rally at Shantipara on Saturday in support of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) nominated Lok Sabha candidate for West Tripura constituency Biplab Kumar Deb, Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha said that Congress and CPI(M) are two sides of the same coin. Both have lost their credibility. They don't have any vision for the people of Tripura. “Both the Congress and the CPI(M) party had exploited and used the people as their vote bank and no development was made during the last 35 years.”

“People have understood the tactics of the Congress and CPI(M) and hence people started putting trust on the BJP, which is committed to bring development for the people of the State,  Dr Saha  said, adding that only Prime Minister Narendra Modi is sincerely working for the overall welfare of the people.

The communist party unleashed terror tactics across the state before elections during their rule, where the general people were scared of coming out of their house to cast their vote. Situation has changed now with the BJP assuming power, where history was created in the last 2023 general assembly elections in the state, where a complete violence-free was held. But on the other hand, the Congress and CPI(M) mislead the people of Tripura with their understanding, he added.

He said, “People refused the understanding of Congress and CPI(M) and voted BJP-IPFT to power yet again in 2023 elections. This time too people of this state will vote for BJP and make Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister for the third consecutive term.
