Cricket: India build a sizeable second innings lead against England on 3rd day of 2nd Test at Visakhapatnam


In Cricket, India were 223 for the loss of 6 wickets against England on day three of the second test of the five-match series in Visakhapatnam, a short while ago. James Anderson dealt India with an early blow by dismissing both the opening batters. Meanwhile, Shubman Gill slammed his first century as a No.3 batter for India. Gill's batting masterclass has paved the way for India to extend its lead to over 350 runs. The Men in Blue have now taken a 366 run lead.

 Earlier, India bowled out England at 253 in their first innings, yesterday. India's star pacer Jasprit Bumrah picked six wickets, achieving a historic feat of 150 test wickets. He became the fastest Indian pacer to do so. Kuldeep Yadav also picked up 3 important wickets for India. The hosts made 396 runs in their first innings, riding on a double ton by the young sensation Yashasvi Jaiswal.

England are leading 1-0 in the five-match series after defeating the hosts India by 28 runs in the first match in Hyderabad.
