Tripura Dy. CM Jishnu Dev Varma meets PM Modi in Delhi


The Deputy Chief Minister of Tripura – Jishnu Dev Varma on Saturday met the Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Delhi and discussed series of issues related to the development of Tripura.

“I got the opportunity to present him a folder highlighting the bio village pilot project of my Bio Tech council and also the TREDA work of lighting up remote village markets, solar irrigation pumps in remote areas and solar micro grids in remote tribal areas. He appreciated the last mile delivery effort made by us,” Jishnu tweeted.

Jishnu, during the meeting, discussed infrastructure development of Tripura and demanded for central assistance. He also discussed on expediting the issues related to rural development especially the remote tribal areas which have been neglected during CPIM rule. In addition to this the deputy Chief minister also spoke about empowerment of TTAADC.

He said that after the discussion, PM Modi has appreciated the last mile delivery effort made by the Tripura government.
