Police arrests 2 lady smugglers arrested with Ganja from Agartala Railway station
Mar 03, 2025In yet another significant development to the anti-drug drive, the Agartala GRP on Sunday night detained two lady smugglers along with dry Ganja from Agartala Railway station.
The officer in-charge of the GRP station at Agartala Tapas Das informed they received a tip off, on the basis of the tip off police of GRP personnel laid a trap and arrested two lady smugglers along with 21. 65 kilograms of dry Ganja from their possession which were kept in two bags.
Moreover, the estimated value of the confiscated marijuana (ganja) in the illicit market amounts to approximately Rs 3 lakh.
The two women from Bihar identified as Sunita Debi (48) from Patna district and Rita Debi (35) from Vaishali district.
