In a significant step towards smart governance and efficient operations, the Agartala Smart City Limited's own data center was unveiled.
Chief Secretary J K Sinha inaugurated this data center on the ground floor of the IT building in Indranagar. Abhishek Singh, Secretary of Urban Development Department, Executive Officer of Agartala Smart City Limited, Dr. Shailesh Kumar Yadav and others were present.
After the inauguration of the data center, the executive officer of Agartala Smart City Limited Dr. Shailesh Kumar Yadav said, Agartala Smart City Limited is the first among all smart cities in the country to build its own data center.
Earlier the Smart City data center was jointly managed with DIT. He said that this data center was built at a total cost of Rs 30.72 crore. All the Agartala City CCTVs, Traffic Points, LED Display Boards are connected to this data center. They are connected through a total of 156 km of optical fiber. This data center will store all types of data for a maximum of 30 days. But for special needs specific data can be kept as long as desired.
