CM Dr. Manik Saha inaugurates Chinmaya Hari Har Vidyalaya in Mohanpur


Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Friday inaugurated the Chinmaya Hari Har Vidyalaya (English Medium) in the West Taranagar area of Mohanpur, marking a significant milestone as the first Chinmaya Mission school to be established in the state of Tripura.

The Chinmaya Hari Har Vidyalaya has been set up under the aegis of Chinmaya Mission, which was founded in 1953 by the revered spiritual leader Swami Chinmayananda. The Mission has been instrumental in promoting value-based education across the globe and currently operates 83 schools, 9 colleges, and a university in 13 states of India and abroad. It also runs over 300 centers worldwide, contributing actively to education, healthcare, and rural development.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Chief Minister Dr. Saha commended the efforts of Chinmaya Mission in nurturing young minds with a blend of academic excellence and moral values. He expressed hope that the new institution would serve as a beacon of holistic education in the region.

“This is a proud moment for Tripura. The establishment of Chinmaya Hari Har Vidyalaya will play a transformative role in shaping future generations with strong values and a global outlook,” said Dr. Saha.

In addition to inaugurating the school, the Chief Minister also participated in the ground-breaking ceremony of the Chinmaya Sundari Temple, which is set to become a spiritual and cultural landmark in the area.

Minister of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Ratanlal Nath, educationists, members of the Chinmaya Mission were also present.
