CM Dr Manik Saha appeals to vote for BJP for more development
Apr 24, 2024Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Wednesday claimed that the people of the country including the state of Tripura had witnessed massive development during the last 10 years of the rule of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Addressing an election rally at Asharambari assembly constituency in Khowai Tripura district Dr Saha said, “This 18th Lok Sabha election is to decide the future of India for the coming 1000 years. As PM Modi said that the last 10 years of development to the country was a trailer, he had committed to bring more development to the nation in the coming years.”
“PM Modi-led government at the Centre had brought massive development for the Tribals in Tripura, who were once neglected during the time of Communist rule,” Dr Said, adding that the Communist party had used the tribals in Tripura as their vote bank.
He said, “After the formation of BJP government at the Centre under the leadership of PM Modi, the last king of Tripura and the tribals were paid due respect, where the Agartala airport was renamed as Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport and moreover government holiday is announced to mark the birth anniversary of Maharaja Bir Bikram. The BJP government had worked for the socio-economic upliftment of the tribals in Tripura.”
Dr Saha kept on underlining the achievements of the Modi government at the Centre and said that the country needs Narendra Modi as Prime Minister for the third consecutive term for more development to the nation.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister on Wednesday took a dig at the previous UPA-II government and said, “The North East region of the country was neglected during the ruling of UPA-II government at the Centre and the region had become the den of terrorist. The entire North East region was reeling under a very odd situation.
“The situation was brought under control and attention was paid to the North East Region for development of the country after the formation of the BJP government in 2014. It is because of PM Modi’s Act East Policy that the region is developing fast,” Dr Saha claimed.
Later in his speech, CM Dr Saha said, “The BJP-IPFT-TIPRA Motha force in Tripura is enough to destroy the unholy alliance of the Congress-CPI(M).”
