CM Dr Manik Saha inaugurates blood donation camp


Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Sunday inaugurated two separate blood donation camps here at Agartala and urged to shape blood donation camps as a social movement. Dr Saha urged to come forward to donate blood with social responsibility.

A blood donation camp was organized at the State Guest House organised by Civil Service Officers Institute, where the Chief Minister Dr Saha interacted with the blood donors and encouraged them as they donated blood.

Chief Secretary J K Sinha, Director General of Police Amitabh Ranjan, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and others were present.

The chief minister said that the officers are the backbone of the administration. It is through them that the work of the government is shaped. “Due to the help and quick action of the officers, we have been able to introduce the e-office system up to the Panchayat level in the state within a very short period of time,” Dr Saha said.

The Chief Minister also inaugurated a Blood Donation Camp organized by Krishnanagar Boys Club at Bijoy Kumar higher secondary school in Agartala. In the event, the Chief Minister said that the citizens should focus on maintaining a healthy and social condition in the club area.

Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation and MLA Deepak Majumder and President of TBSE Dhananjay Gan Chowdhury and others were present.
