The ruling BJP party in Tripura ended it's two-day long 'Chintan Baithak' on Saturday with series of discussions on the political challenges for the ensuing 2023 assembly elections. Chintan Baithak held in attendance of the top national leaders. Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Saturday joined the meeting on Saturday while the BJP general secretary B L Santosh, who visited the state on Friday, joined a series of meetings with office bearers, the media, social media teams, ministers, MLAs and individual leaders.

BJP secretary in charge for Tripura Mahesh Sharma, northeast coordinator Sambit Patra among other leaders attended the meeting. The party's spokesperson Subrata Chakraborty said that all issues pertaining to the party’s organisational strength and 2023 assembly election were discussed in the meeting eyeing on the 2023 election.

He however informed that the meeting has been resolved with the preparation of party's roadmap for the ensuing election in addition to the discussions on few internal issues of the party. On the recent departure of MLA Burbu Mohan Tripura from BJP, the fourth legislator to have resigned from the saffron party in the last 4.5 years, the BJP chief spokesperson said, “We are aware of these developments. We have discussed these. These wouldn’t impact us. The MLA wasn’t active for the party or wasn’t working for the people for some time anyway.”
