Revenue Minister passes away
Jan 01, 2023Veteran IPFT president and Revenue and Forest minister of the BJP and IPFT led state government Narendra Chandra Debbarma breathed his last today morning at GBP hospital. He was 87 years old. He is survived by his wife and five children.
He was admitted to GB after suffering a brain stroke on December 30 at his home. Leaders-ministers rushed to GBP hospital after getting the news of his death.
He went through complex brain surgery by the supervision of Dr. Siddha Reddy and was put on ventilator at the ICU.
Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha, Deputy chief minister Jishnu Debbarma, CPI (M) state secretary Jiten Chowdhury and leader of the opposition Manik Sarkar have condoled his death.
The last rites of Narendra Chandra Debbarma will be performed in his native place Maharanipur under Teliamura subdivision.
