Assam Rifles felicitates mountaineer Aasha Malviya
May 27, 2023Agartala Battalion of Agartala Sector Assam Rifles felicitated Aasha Malviya of Nataram Village, Rajgarh Dist, Madhya Pradesh on 27 May 2023 at Agartala, Tripura. Agartala Battalion felicitated her for the initiative and noble cause at Battalion Headquarters at Agartala.
A 24-year-old is on a mission to prove that contrary to populist belief, India is a country that is safe for women to travel solo. Asha Malviya is a national-level mountaineer who has embarked on a solo journey on a bicycle and she aims to touch the heart of India.
Aasha Malviya is a solo cyclist on pan India cycle tour with aim to ride 25000 km covering 28 states making countrymen aware about "Women Safety and Women Empowerment". Till date she has travelled 16600 km covering 19 states starting her journey from Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh on 1st Nov 2022. Tripura is the 20th state she has visited. She is desirous to end her journey on 15 August 2023 at New Delhi.
