TIDC to support youths in Tripura to set up industries: Chairman


The Tripura Industrial Development Corporation (TIDC) took an initiative of imparting training and support the unemployed youths of the state towards setting up industries in Tripura, said TIDC Chairman Nabadal Banik on Friday.

Addressing a press conference here at Agartala TIDC Office, the chairman said, “The initiative for the youths is to build Yuva Tripura, New Tripura & Atmanirbhar Tripura and under this initiative, the interested youths will be encouraged in setting up their own industries and become self-reliant.”

“At least 100 interested youths between the age group of 18-45 from every district of the state will be registered through District Industries Centre. Moreover, an exposure visit to Budjongnagar and R K Nagar industrial estates will be arranged for those youths to give them a clear idea about the recent industrial infrastructure development of the state and various related facilities,” he told reporters.

He said that the youths will be given assistance in setting up industries in various self-employment schemes and projects. The youths will be informed about the method of getting loans and will be directly connected to the banks, he added.  

He said that investment amounting to Rs. 68.80 crores have been made so far during the last six months in the industrial estates of the state, while the operational industries are getting about Rs 30 lakh revenue per month.
