Govt. working to enhance livelihood of people of Tripura: CM Dr. Manik Saha


Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Friday inaugurated fice different projects under the Agartala Smart City Mission here in the Agartala Municipal Corporation area and said that the government is working to enhance the livelihood of the people of this state by fulfilling their basic needs. “Government is making efforts for development of not only the urban areas but also the remote and areas of the state,” Dr. Saha said, adding that after the establishment of the present government, development activities are being observed in every area.

The Chief Minister underlined the ‘Prati Ghore Susashan’ campaign launched recently and said that the main objective of this campaign is to take public welfare schemes of the government to the doors of every people of the state. The Chief Minister said that as a result of the state government's philanthropic approach, the salary of Anganwadi workers, helpers and Asha workers associated with health services will be increased by 15 percent. The state government is working to improve the socio-economic condition of people in every field, Dr. Saha said.

Dr. Saha unveiled the plaque for beautification project of Shantipara Pond of Ward No. 20 of Agartala Municipal Corporation. He also unveiled the other projects which include TNGCL Pond (Battala Pond) in Ward No. 34 of AMC, Open Gym under the flyover and opposite to the Baradowali School and improvement of GB Bazar Junction. CEO of Agartala Smart City Mission Sailesh Kumar Yadav, AMC Mayor Deepak Majumder, Deputy Mayor Manika Das Dutta, MLA Dr. Dilip Kumar Das, and Councillor Ratna Dutta, among others were present in the event.
