Police seizes heroin, three held
Sep 03, 2023Tripura Police arrested three drug peddlers and seized 105 containers of heroin, Rs 23,725 cash from Tuimodhu area under Teliamura police station on Sunday.
The police stated that they received a crucial tip-off regarding one drug peddler, on the basis of the tip-off a police and CRPF jawans team led by SDPO Teliamura Prasun Kanti Tripura raided the house of drug peddler Gani Mia in Tuimodhu area under Teliamura police station.
During the raid, police officials found 105 containers of heroin, Rs 23,725 cash and two Ram-dao (weapons) from the house of drug peddler Gani Mia. Police also arrested two subordinates of drug peddler Gani Mia from his home.
All the three accused were booked under relevant sections of the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.
