Good Friday is being observed by Christians across the world today. It marks the crucifixion and death of Jesus Christ at Calvary. This day is also referred to as Holy Friday, Great Friday, and Black Friday.
It is a solemn day for Christians to reflect, pray and remember Jesus’ sacrifice for humanity’s sins.
In Nagaland, Christians are holding special services and fasting. Special processions are also being organized to symbolize the path of Jesus with His cross to Mount Calvary.
On the occasion, Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio has extended Good Friday greetings to all citizens.
In a social media post, Rio said on Good Friday, we remember the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus Christ and His unconditional love for us. Light conquered darkness and goodness conquered sin.
Rio prayed that the day would bring new meaning and positive change in our lives.
