One arrested with Brown Sugar and Yaba Tablets
May 04, 2023Tripura Police arrested one person and seized hefty amount of illicit drugs from his possession. The drugs which were seized are brown sugar and Yaba tablets.
Talking to www.tripuratoday .com over telephone on Thursday Officer-In-Charge of AD Nagar police station Bijoy Das said, the police had secret information about a drug peddler in MB Tilla area.
“Acting on tip-off, an anti-narcotic operation was conducted by the Officer-In-Charge of AD Nagar police station Bijoy Das along with the police personnel of AD Nagar police station at the residence of Krishna Debnath in MB Tilla area. “During the search operation, police seized 1 small container of brown sugar and 1000 yaba tablets and its market value is about Rs 1 lakh,” Das said.
Besides, a case has been registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, against Krishna Debnath after the recovery of these narcotic substances from his residence. He will be produced before the court tomorrow, Das mentioned.
