Tripura CM Dr. Manik Sasha joins ‘Ek Bharat Srestha Bharat’ event in Kolkata

Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Saturday attended the "Ek Bharat Sreshtha Bharat" – a flagship programme of the central government organised by the Bengal BJP party at National Library Auditorium to promote mutual understanding between different states.

Addressing the gathering of the BJP leaders, workers, and the supporters of Bengal in the auditorium, the Chief Minister flays the ruling Trinamool Congress Party in Bengal and alleged that the people of Tripura rejected the party during the assembly election this year.

“The TMC in Bengal had exerted utmost effort to gain the ground of Tripura in the election, but in this assembly election in Tripura, the TMC scored less vote percentage than NOTA,” Dr. Saha said, adding that the people of Tripura are politically very conscious.

He said, “During the last many years, we have seen a distance and difference between Tripura and West Bengal and the present political situation of Bengal is the main reason for this.”

Terming the TMC as ‘Goonda’ party, the Chief Minister Dr. Saha said, “I salute the BJP party workers in Bengal for their constant fight against the goonda party. I urge the party workers here to strengthen the booths. After Tripura the Bengal should see victory now.”

“What we are seeing here in Bengal is that with the end of vote counting in Tripura, note counting is underway in Bengal. The Bengal is reeling under a very abnormal situation,” he alleged to continue flaying the TMC.

He alleged, “Bengal is currently reeling under a bombing culture adopted by the TMC from that of the CPI(M) party. TMC is the carbon copy of the CPI(M). People of Bengal wanted freedom from the CPI(M), but the TMC has come up in a magnified way with more folds of violence.”

Referring to the recently concluded assembly election in Tripura, Dr. Saha said, “This time our government decided to end scientific rigging and proxy voting in Tripura during the assembly election and accordingly we have shown the real democracy with a peaceful voting and poll counting in Tripura. Even the oppositions expressed their satisfaction in this recently concluded election in Tripura.” he said,

He claimed, “No political murder was reported in any of some sporadic incidents of violence hatched by some critics after the poll counting.”
