Union HM Amit Shah lays foundation stone for National Forensic Sciences University


Agartala, March 08: The Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday performed Bhumi Pujan and laid the foundation stone for setting up of full-fledged National Forensic Sciences University at Anandanagar. The university is aimed to facilitate the students of the entire Northeastern region of the country including Tripura, Shah said.

He said, “The students after completing their studies in this NFSU will be able to get opportunities to work across the country.” Meanwhile, Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb said, “It is very fortunate for the people of Anandanagar that the NFSU which is to be set up in Tripura will attract the students from abroad and especially from other states in the NE region.

Students from other state will get an opportunity to pursue their studies in the NFSU in our state.” The Union Home Minister today also launched two separate schemes of the Tripura government Tripura State Policy for Empowerment of Women 2022 and Mukhyamantri Cha Sramik Kalyan Prakalpa for the tea workers of the state.
