Delhi recorded season's lowest temperature of 1.4°C


As another cold wave spell sets in over Northwest India, Delhi has recorded season's lowest temperature of 1.4 degrees celsius today.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has also issued a yellow alert in Delhi for the next six days owing to the upcoming severe coldwave in the national capital region.

According to the IMD, the minimum temperature of 1.4 degree celsius is six degree below normal, for this time of the year and the second-lowest minimum temperature recorded in January in a decade.

The last time a lower minimum temperature was recorded at Safdarjung was 1.1 degree Celsius in January 2021. Meanwhile, the IMD has predicted a clear sky today with a Maximum temperature would be hovering around 18 degrees Celsius.
