TSECL topped in Overall Innovation with Impact Award-North Eastern States
Jan 15, 2022Agartala, Jan 15: The Tripura State Electricity Corporation Limited (TSECL) was conferred the First Position in the 9th Innovation with Impact Awards for Discoms 2021 under the category Overall Innovation with Impact Award-North Eastern States at the 15th India Energy Summit (IES) organized by the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) on January 11, 2022 through web platform.
The objective of the summit was to provide a platform to the energy industry, to explore different opportunities that the energy transition and transformation has unleashed for the sector, Managing Director of TSECL Dr. M S Kele received the award on behalf of TSECL and was the key speaker in the "Plenary Session III" on Round Table on Power Distribution-Reform and Efficiency.
He illustrated about how TSECL has been functioning during Covid-19 situation and about its reforms in the past three years such as commencement of Smart Customer Care Centre System along with Fault Rectification Team (FRT). Smart & Prepaid Metering Systems, Power Distribution Franchisee, integrated Revenue Management System, Bidyut Bandhu Mobile App, TSECL Officer's Mobile App, TSECL At Your Doorstep, Go Green initiative, promotion of Net Solar Metering, ERP, execution of DDUGJY, SOUBHAGYA. IPDS, World Bank Project etc.
TSECL has been awarded under the 2020 and 2021 category successively. Apart from that, TSECL has received various awards on Best Smart Utility, for Prepaid & Smart Metering, franchisee reforms, response to COVID from reputed organisations such as MoP, India Smart Grid Forum, Indian Chamber of Commerce, SKOCH Group, Greentech Foundation, etc.
