Tripura 2023 Poll: Union HM Amit Shah appeals for 2nd BJP Govt for prosperity of Tripura


The Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday appealed to the people of the state to vote for the BJP for a second term in Tripura for the prosperity of the state.

“Immense love and faith shown by the people of Tripura towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his vision clearly indicate that the BJP will again form government for the second time and it is essential to ensure that welfare and developmental works in the state continues without any hindrance,” Shah said.

Addressing a massive rally at Dharmanagar in North Tripura district on Thursday Shah underlined the achievements of the five year of the BJP-led coalition government and claimed that the government in Tripura worked for all sections of the society, which brought a visible change to the state.

“The BJP government has brought an end to terrorism in Tripura through peace talks with the banned NLFT and along with this, the 25-year-old sufferings of 34 lakh Brus in Tripura was brought to an end under the rule of BJP government,” he said, adding that infrastructure and investment have got a new phase in the state of Tripura.

He said, “The Northeastern states of Tripura, which was once known for drug trafficking, violence, intrusion and massive anti-national activities is now known for development, excellent infrastructure, achievements in Sports, rising investments and organic farming activities.”

On his day-long visit to the poll bound state on Thursday, the Union Home Minister Amit Shah flagged off the first ‘Ratha Yatra’ of the BJP party and said that the name of the yatra as ‘Jana Biswas Rath Yatra’ has been rightly kept as the government wins people's trust only on the basis of the work.

He said that the party will show how they have stood up to the people's expectations by walking a 1,000 km march, over 200 public meetings, more than 100 padayatras, and 50 roadshows for eight days as it would cover the state's 60 constituencies.
