Peace has returned to Bodoland area due to visionary leadership of PM Modi, says Amit Shah


Peace returned to Bodoland area under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and there in not a single incident of violence during the last three years in this area, said Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah at the 13th Triennial Conference of the All Bathou Mahasabha at Dhekiajuli in Sonitpur district of Assam on Saturday.

 Addressing the event, the Union Home Minister said that peace has returned to this area due to the visionary leadership of Prime Minister and people have abandoned the path of violence. This area is developing across all sectors and the Government is committed for its development, added the Union Minister.

 The Home Minister was accompanied by Chief Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma and several MPs and MLAs.

 Earlier in the day, Mr Shah attended the 60th Raising Day of the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) at Salonibari in Sonitpur district.

 Later in the afternoon, at Guwahati, the Union Home Minister will attend the passing out parade of 2551 Assam police commandos at Sarusajai Stadium and will also launch a book named "Assam's Braveheart Lachit Barphukan" at the Srimanta Sankardeva International Auditorium. In the evening, the Home Minister will inaugurate the completed part of the Brahmaputra Riverfront in the city.
