Minister Sushanta Chowdhury rubbishes CPI-M's corruption charges on Gov

Agartala, Jan 27: Soon after the CPI-M state secretary Jitendra Choudhury on Thursday accused the ruling BJP government of instigating massive corruption, the ICA Minister and also the cabinet spokesperson Sushanta Chowdhury this evening countered the CPI-M party over the corruption charges on government and rubbished the allegations.

Addressing a press conference Chowdhury said, "This is just to gain the faith of the people of this state, the uprooted CPI-M party has now got involved on hatching conspiracies to defame the government in the name of corruption which were at large during the then Left front government in Tripura."

Pointing out the Choudhury's corruption charges on government, the minister said, "Previously during the rule of Left front government we have seen how the corruption took its height on every blocks, we have seen the CPI-M party cadre sleeping on money which were provided by the Central government to construct sanitations in Tripura, we have seen the massive fund embezzlement like that happened in Bishalgarh RD Block like many other blocks during the Left front government."

"The CPI-M party is now worried of the funds being provided by the Modi government at the centre now for the people of the rural parts of the state like that of crediting Rs. 709 crore to the accounts of the beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna (PMAY-G). They are worried of their detachment with the people of the state," Chowdhury said.
