75 ISKCON members travel to India through Benapole checkpost


Seventy-five members of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) crossed into India through the Benapole check post this morning after completing immigration procedures.

Imtiaz Ahmed, officer-in-charge (OC) of Benapole Immigration Police, confirmed that the ISKCON members, from various districts including Dhaka, Munshiganj, Mymensingh, Khulna, and Bagerhat, were granted exit clearance after their passports and visas were verified online.

The group, led by Nitai Dayal Das Brahmachari, principal of the ISKCON temple in Savar, Dhaka, stated that they were traveling to India to perform religious rituals. They arrived at the checkpost in three reserved buses.
