Edu Minister on 125th birth anniversary of Bose praises PM Modi


Agartala, Jan 23: The state education minister Ratan Lal Nath on Sunday laid a wreath to the portrait of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose to mark his 125th birth anniversary and said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had paid much importance than any others leaders in the past to convey Netaji’s patriotism to the nation.

Attending the birth anniversary celebration of Netaji here at Agartala Netaji Subhash Vidyaniketan on Sunday Minister Ratan Lal Nath said that PM Modi had launched a digital museum with Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose in 2019 at the Red Fort in Delhi. Netaji's birthday in 2021 has been declared as Paryakram Diwas.

Moreover, the Howrah-Kalka Express has been renamed as 'Netaji Express' by the Ministry of Railways. Speaking on the occasion, the Education Minister said that Bapuji, Swamiji and Netaji are still in the hearts of countless people in the country. Subhash Chandra Bose became Netaji for his outstanding leadership. World poet Rabindranath Tagore called him a national hero in 1938.

Netaji was a devotee and follower of Swami Vivekananda. Netaji used to say, independence has to be achieved. He was imprisoned eleven times by the British government to liberate the motherland. The education minister said Netaji was a legendary leader of the freedom struggle. He was the first to speak for independence in the country.
