Union HM Amit Shah to launch BJP’s ‘Rath Yatra’ in Tripura on Jan 5

With barely one and half months left for the assembly election in Tripura, the Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to put his leg on Tripura’s Dharmanagar and Sabroom on January 5.

Talking to our correspondent on Tuesday evening, the BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharjee said, "The union Home Minister Amit Shah ji will visit the state on January 5 to launch the party’s Rath Yatra programme. He will launch the party’s pre-election rath yatra from Dharmanagar in North Tripura as well from Sabroom on the same day on January 5.”

He said more leaders are to visit the state during the week-long rath yatra to address public meetings at places where the mega yatra will make a stopover. The yatra is aimed at reaching out to more and more people in the run-up to the polls.

With almost all the opposition political parties here in the state of Tripura are hitting the ground hard in view of the ensuing assembly election, the ruling BJP party is working round the clock across the state to gain the poll ground.
