Govt working to ensure better health infrastructure in Tripura: CM Dr Manik Saha
Dec 12, 2023Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Tuesday inaugurated the newly constructed Chebri Primary Health Centre and quarter complex in Khowai and said that his government is contemplating to ensure expansion of advanced health care services in the state.
Addressing the inauguration programme, the Chief Minister said that initiatives have been taken to launch 11 super specialty services in GBP Hospital for the development of health services. Already 7 super specialty departments have been launched, he added.
“Various steps have been taken to improve the infrastructure of health services in Khowai district. The building of Chebri Primary Health Center is part of this initiative,” he said, adding that earlier people used to go abroad for better treatment, but at present, the state has the potential to treat and cure various complex diseases, which perhaps has resulted in the decrease of patients moving abroad.
He said, “The infrastructure of IGM Hospital is being further expanded. The number of beds in GBP Hospital is being almost doubled. Benefits of various schemes and services of the Central and State Governments are being delivered to the common people through the Vikshit Bharat Sankalp Yatra and Prati Ghare Sushashan 2.0 campaign.
