BJP to make ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign a mass outreach programme in Tripura


The Tripura Pradesh BJP has planned to launch the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign across the state in a grand way from August 11.

Addressing in a press conference on Saturday at party state head office, State secretary Tapash Majumder announced that programmes will be organised  from August 11 to  make ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign a mass outreach programme in the State.

The events include Tiranga Yatra, Tiranga Rally and many more he said, adding that the nationwide Har Ghar Tiranga campaign was started from 2022 to encourage the people of the country to hoist the national flag on the occasion of the Independence Day celebration. The objective is to involve the general public and school and college students in a big way. All elected representatives of the party will take part in the drive, he added.

During this period, the national flag will be hoisted on every mondal, every house, shop and office. Programmes will start from August 11, which will be observed to remember those who sacrificed their lives for the nation, be it for getting Independence or in different wars against China and Pakistan.

In his monthly ‘Mann Ki Baat’ radio broadcast on July 28, Modi talked about the Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan and urged people to upload selfies with the national flag on the harghartiranga.com website, saying the campaign has caught on with every section of society. The BJP will hold Tiranga Yatras in every assembly constituency from August 11 to August 13, he added.

On August 12, 13 and 14, floral tributes will be paid to freedom fighters. On August 13, 14 and 15, the ‘tiranga’ (national flag) will be hoisted and flown at all homes and business establishments, “turning the entire country into a sea of saffron, white and green”, he said.
