Tripura Police seize contraband worth Rs 3 lakh
Apr 24, 2024In yet another anti-narcotics drive, Tripura Police seized a hefty amount of contraband items from Gandhi gram area on Tuesday night.
The police stated that they received a crucial tip-off, on the basis of the tip-off police personnel from Airport Police Station raided the house of Anjan Shil near Gandhi gram bazaar. During the raid police officials found 1006 bottles of Eskuf Syrup from a vehicle bearing number TR01E0605 parked inside the house. Police have seized the vehicle. The house owner was found absconding, said police. Moreover, the estimated value of the confiscated Eskuf Syrup in the illicit market amounts to approximately Rs 3 lakh.
A case has been registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act against the house owner and a hunt is on to arrest him, said cops.
